The East End Arts Council has again organized a stellar lineup for the Wine Press Concert Series for 2009. What better way for our guests at the Shorecrest Bed & Breakfast to enjoy a Summer evening on North Fork. In addition to a relaxing outdoor concert at a local winery, you will also be able to purchase the vineyards wines by the glass or bottle. They only ask that you do not bring your own! Rain or shine they are sure to please and this will become one of your memorable Summer events.
Remaining concert dates for this year are planned for:
July 25th features Cat Ballou at Peconic Bay Winery. This is a new group, but they have been involved in the local music scene for the past 10 years. They offer their own versions of blues and jazz artists and played this winter during the Long island Winter fest Jazz on the Vine.
August 1st features Hugh Prestwood at Castello di Borghese Vineyard. Hugh was inducted into the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2006 and has been writing songs for two decades. He will be joined by other Nashville music talents such as James Dean Hicks and Richard Leigh.
August 15th features Matt Marshak at Laurel Lake Vineyards. Matt does a lively show which includes blues, rock, soul, and jazz. He is new to the contemporary jazz scene and has been named one of the best new smooth-jazz artists. He was a hit with the audience during the Long Island Winterfest Jazz on the Vine.
