Restaurant Week on the North Fork of Long Island

Starting Sunday November 1st some of the top restaurants in the North Fork area are participating in Long Island Restaurant Week. I assembled this list of participants in my area from various websites including which seems to be one of the most comprehensive if you want more information. Below is the list in alphabetical order of their towns for the North Fork and a little further west, and includes several of my favorites. This is a great opportunity to sample the work of some excellent chefs. If you are traveling to the East End from Manhattan or the Western part of Long Island for instance I highly recommend that you take this opportunity to try La Plage in Wading River, or stop there on the way back. It is a bit off the beaten track but very much worth the diversion. More locally this is a perfect opportunity to try The North Fork Table and Inn in Southold which just achieved Four Star status.

We still have rooms at the Shorecrest Bed & Breakfast for this weekend and next, the perfect place to stay between meals while on your Gourmet adventure. I’m thinking up something special for the breakfasts as well!
