Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor

Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor offers entertainment in a variety of styles.  I recently enjoyed an evening out at the theater and saw the production ‘Dinner’ with Mercedes Rheul.  It was so delightful and funny that I wanted to share with you their Theater and Comedy Club Series which are scheduled for the remainder of the summer season.

Theater Production –  Dames at Sea will be beginning on August 11th and will continue performing through September 6th.   Actors include Xavier Cano, Joyce Chittick, Stuart Marland, Kristen Martin, Laurie Wells, Patrick Wetzer, and more.  The New York Times says it is “A gem of a musical”.  Dames at Sea covers it all and the show must still go on!  A theater production company, a bad economy, and the main actor loses her home on opening night.  Dames at Sea theater production is sure to delight all theater goers.

Comedy Club Series – Robert Klein will be performing on August 31st at 8 P.M.  He has entertained audiences with comedy for over 40 years on Broadway, television, and film.  He has received two Grammy award nominations for “Best Comedy Album of the Year” and a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor.  This is sure to be an entertaining evening for all.

Janeane Garofalo and Al Madrigal will be performing on September 7th at 8 P.M.  and will close out the 2009 Comedy Series.   Janeane is best known for her film as “The Truth About Cats and Dogs”.  Al was the Award Winner for the 2004 HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and has been called “Dynamic” by the New York Times.  This dynamic duo is sure to deliver an evening of well needed comedy and laughter.
