Shellabration is the East End’s annual celebration of our shellfish harvest, including oysters, scallops and clams, thanks to the recent rejuvenation of Peconic Bay. Fourteen restaurants will offer $5 tapas-sized plates of shellfish treats, paired with local wines for $3.   Get introduced to the oldest running citizen science-based bird count in the nation, from its NYC roots in 1900 to the important scientific findings of today’s Audubon scientists. Perfect for fledgling birders and others eager to learn about the half dozen Christmas Bird Counts held on eastern Long Island in late December.
