Fall is harvest time for the wineries of the North Fork, and activities are in abundance. Whether you are visiting the Shorecrest Inn on the weekend or mid-week, there are many wineries to visit and be able to enjoy the Fall harvest festivities. Our featured winery in this article is Jamesport Vineyards located in Jamesport, Long Island.
Jamesport Vineyards was established in 1981. The vineyard consists of 60 acres and is tended to with Sustainable Farming Practices. They produce about 7,000 cases of wine per year and varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Semi Glace, Late Harvest Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a Bordeaux Blend. They are open for tasting Monday through Friday and Sundays from 11 A.M. until 5 P.M. Saturdays they are open 11 A.M. until 6 P.M. They have a variety of wine tasting options with price ranging from $5 to $15 and also offer flights of wine.
