Events, Things to Do and How to ‘Beat the Heat’ Vacations on Long Island’s East End

June 19th, 2012 by Marilyn Marks

As the summer heats up the thoughts of city and urban dwellers inevitably  turn to beach vacations and cool ocean breezes. For those of  you who still haven’t made plans for a summer getaway there are still rooms available at the Shorecrest BandB June through Labor Day, including July 4th week and the following weekend, where you can relax on our own private Long Island Sound beach or launch your paddle board or kayak from our second Shelter Bay Inlet beach, both just steps from the Inn.

For families or groups looking for a house to rent together, we still have some weeks available through July, August and September at our four water front 3 /4 bedroom rental houses: two in Southold on the LI Sound and Inlet; one on the Lake in East Marion with sandy bay beach access, and one on the Great Peconic Bay in Aquebogue. All newly renovated with air conditioning and all modern conveniences. Check out our property rental website www.shorecrestpm.com for more details and visit the online reservation calendar or call 631 765 1570 for availability. We look forward to hearing from you.

It is mid June and the number of activities on and around the East End of Long Island increase as the summer progresses. Below is detailed information on a few of them; for a more comprehensive list of activities around Shorecrest Bed and Breakfast, the North Fork, Southold, Shelter Island, Greenport and the North Fork Vineyards, check the Events Calendar on this blog.
