Fifth Week of Jazz on the Vine Promises Music, Romance and Fun

March 7th, 2013 by Marilyn Marks

March 8 begins the fifth week of Jazz on the Vine, the theme for the sixth consecutive 2013 Long Island Winterfest. In most cases, admission prices includes a glass of wine and a chance to win a gift basket of Long Island wines, not to mention an afternoon of great jazz performances. Even though it has been extended, there are only a few weekends left, so make sure you plan on coming out soon or you will miss some amazing music performed in the romantic ambience of our beautiful east end wineries.

The term “Jazz” in Jazz on the Vine is used in the loosest of ways and includes traditional, modern and ragtime jazz as well as show tunes and standards from the classic American songbook.  Our vineyards and wineries provide the perfect venue and backdrop to the cool sounds provided by the over 140 groups that will be featured during Winterfest. Sipping wine and listing to this amazing live music will be the pinnacle of your romantic east end get away.

But best of all… Winterfest coincides with Shorecrest’s Winter Romance getaway package. It’s $475 for a two nights stay and runs through April 2013. It’s good for any room and the package includes:

• A 2 night stay at Shorecrest Bed and Breakfast plus:

• $20 towards dinner for two at one of our favorite restaurants, either the Frisky Oyster, First and South or Noah’s in Greenport

• 2 x $50 gift certificates towards a one hour aromatherapy massage for each guest (non refundable and use optional)

• Our exclusive discount card to 24 wineries including free tastings

• A private wine class or in room champagne picnic.
