We were contemplating our next post about all the gardens on the property and around the area when a light bulb clicked. We never formally introduced ourselves. So…Hi! We are Shorecrest Bed & Breakfast an elegant yet modern Victorian B&B located on the North Fork of Long Island. Welcome to paradise.
A little history about our roots: Shorecrest Bed & Breakfast was once the summer home of a wealthy doctor when it was first built in the 1800’s. The elegance and opulence of the Victorian era still live throughout the house and it’s decor (for all you Gatsby lovers). The Inn overlooks the Long Island Sound and has access to two private beaches. The house is a gem on the North fork but the North fork is the gem of Long Island. The North Fork is home to a unique type of culture. The wineries, the farmstands, the beaches, the wharf towns, the history and the fantasy all come together to create this beautiful oasis right outside of the city. It’s only 2 hours from New York City and offers you an experience you wouldn’t think possible so close to NYC. The Farm-to-Table culture is present in many restaurants on the North Fork and the Wineries offer relaxing and entertaining day excursions. If the weather permits, GO SWIMMING!
