Autumn Events on the North Fork of Long Island

We are sad to say summer is over but extremely excited about the Fall! This is the season for apple picking, warm cider, pumpkins, squash dishes, light jackets, Cabernet Franc & many other fall must-haves. The summer traffic has died down a bit. The weather is comfortable and relaxing. This may be the best season to visit the North Fork. We have compiled a list of upcoming events for September & October and these are some festivities you do not want to miss.

The Greenport Village’s Three-Day Long Waterside Maritime Festival Serves To Highlight And Showcase Greenport’s Maritime Culture And History. There Will Be Activities And Events Centered Around This Rich History; With Demonstrations, Crafts And Educational Exhibits And, Of Course, Walking Access To Our Beautiful Downtown Shops, Restaurants And Commercial Facilities In A Festival-Like Atmosphere.

2nd Annual Greenport Oyster Festival – October 13th 12-6pm

Local oyster farmers and suppliers will be serving the freshest, tastiest bivalves on the East End. Tour Greenport Harbor Brewery, lift a mug, and sample some of the newest beer releases from their brewery. Fun, food, and music in our historic maritime village.
