Long Island Restaurant Week-Another Way to Taste the North Fork

November 7th, 2013 by Marilyn Marks

Long Island Restaurant Week

This week is Long Island Restaurant Week, and some terrific East End restaurants are participating. Each is offering a special three course $27.95 prix fixe.

For fresh seafood creations, check out Southold’s A Lure. There you could try (as one option among seven different entrees) “Macadamia-Coconut Crusted Flounder/Key Lime Beurre Blanc/Sweet Potato Puree/Tiny French Beans.”

If you’d prefer Italian specialties, reserve at Mattituck’s aMano. Enjoy “Chicken Milanese/Arugula Salad/Heirloom Tomatoes” or any of the other eight entree options. Or you could head to Cutchogue’s Touch of Venice.

Going to Greenport, to check out all its shops and sights? Go to Noah’s for dinner. He’s offering a three course tasting menu with suggested wine pairings for every dish.

Many South Fork restaurants are participating too; the closest to Shorecrest is Sag Harbor’s Bell & Anchor. Its seafood prix fixe menu is here.

For the full list of participating East End restaurants, check out the home page of Long Island Restaurant Week.

To really take advantage of everything delicious, you need to stay with me at Shorecrest. I’m conveniently close to all, and yet quietly across from the vast, serene shoreline (that’s our view). You’ll be able to relax and digest in peace. The calm will be even more important if you’re here this weekend, as restaurant week merges into the Taste of the North Fork festivities. See my other blog posts for details.
