Restaurants still serve delicious food in winter, but it’s easy to get a reservation. Live music and art openings abound (listings below, also see our calendar. Best of all, bargains appear. (In high season everything’s at a premium.)

The Winter in Wine Country voucher helps you dine deliciously, entitling you to a free appetizer for two when you buy two entrees at Hellenic, aMano, Mattitaco, and Jedediah Hawkins Inn (listed by distance from Shorecrest, though all are close.)

The bargains continue with two free glasses of wine when you buy two bottles at Croteaux in Greenport, Peconic Cellar Door and Sanino Bella Vita in Peconic, Suhuru in Cutchogue and Jamesport Vineyards in, well, Jamesport. (Again, listed by distance from Shorecrest, though all are close.)

Shorecrest’s promotion makes it easier to stay on the North Fork, but once here, how should you play?


Tuesday evenings, head to Borghese Vineyards–the North Fork’s first vineyard–for an open mic night called Toasty Tuesdays. 6-9 pm.

Wednesday evenings, North Fork Taps and Corks also hosts a dynamite open mic, check out video here.

Thursday evenings, generally, head to Greenport Harbor Brewing for team trivia. Valentine’s is a Thursday, though, and so that night you might want to go to one of our fabulous restaurants instead.

American Beech offers a special four course wine dinner with Borghese–get your tickets before they sell out.

Industry Standard Bar throws a dj dance party 7 pm to late.

Greenport Harbor Brewing offers a proper band–Sonic Gumbo–5 to 8 pm.

Lieb Cellars winery hosts guitarist Jon Divello 6-8 pm.

Touch of Venice restaurant hosts acoustic duo The Libations, 6-9 pm.

Saturday February 16: Art Openings, Live Music, Chocolate & Wine

Art openings:

VSOP Projects (Greenport) hosts a reception and art opening, group show 6-8 pm.

Lieb Cellars (Cutchogue) hosts a reception and opening for Emma Ballou, hors d’oeuvres by Grace & Grit, 6-8 pm.

The William Ris Gallery (Jamesport) hosts an opening for a group show 4-7 pm.

Live music:

Saturday, find live music at Greenport Harbor Brewing (Kerry Kearny 5-8 pm), and Lieb Cellars (Cassandra House 1-4 pm).

Chocolate & Wine:

Pindar pairs its wine with North Fork Chocolate Company wine, seatings at 3 & 5 pm (1 pm already sold out).

Clovis Point Winery hosts a wine and chocolate pairing 11 am to 5 pm.

Sunday February 16: Music, Chocolate & Wine

Again, find live music at Greenport Harbor Brewing (Sydney Sahr 3-6 pm) and Lieb Cellars (Robin Sidor 2-5 pm). Pindar and Clovis Point continue to offer wine paired with chocolate. Our stores are open, our beaches too.
