Christmas Bird Count 101
December 8, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Get introduced to the oldest running citizen science-based bird count in the nation, from its NYC roots in 1900 to the important scientific findings of today’s Audubon scientists. Perfect for fledgling birders and others eager to learn about the half dozen Christmas Bird Counts held on eastern Long Island in late December. End with a casual walk in the preserve to see what winter residents have settled in.
