An abbreviated version of the Mitchell Park series will kick off Monday, Aug. 2 and continue for five weeks through Aug. 30. It previously had run on Mondays in both July and August.

Dances in the Park is hosted by Friends of Mitchell Park and features a different musical act each week. It attracts hundreds of visitors and locals to the park, many of whom pair the entertainment with visits to local restaurants. Outdoor dining will also be in place those weeks, with the parklets that expanded dining last summer returning this week.
